About Us

We help Children Thrive

We believe that every child has unique talents and abilities that should be nurtured and celebrated. However, we also know that many children face challenges that can hinder their growth and success. These challenges can range from learning difficulties and social anxieties to behavioral issues and emotional regulation deficits.

As parents and caregivers, it can be overwhelming and frustrating to watch our children struggle and not know how to help them reach their full potential. That’s where we come in. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and guidance to children and families in need. We empower children to overcome their obstacles and thrive in all areas of their lives.

Who We Are

Family and Children Priorities

Families are foundational to a child’s upbringing and we want to help families with autistic children thrive in the difficult environment that can be a home raising a child with ASD.

Our Vision

Be a community resource for all things ABA. There are a lot of misconceptions about ABA and we want to help break those barriers. We collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other community organizations to ensure that children have the support they need to succeed.

Our Mission

We know how busy life can be with multiple kids, sports, and more. Our mission is to help those families by proving accessible ABA therapy and make it easy on families to get their children the care they need.

Why Pounce?

Our founding story of Autism

The name “Pounce” is in recognition of the our son who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has always had challenges relating with others and forming bonds with new people. As he got older, he began to take an interest in cats and this became a way to overcome his social anxiety. Cats gave him a common platform to connect with others. When he anticpates a confusing conversation or activity, he will often put a cat in his lap to help him through tough times.

Most of all, he has taught us being unique is better than being puuurrrfect.

Our Autism Challenges

As a parent of a child with autism, I know how overwhelming and difficult life can be. When I first found out about my son, I struggled to find resources, find the right doctor, find the right therapist, and more. I was trying to be a mom, a provider, and an expert on his condition and there was just never enough time in the world for me to do it all. That’s what drove me back to school, to pursue a degree, and to help kids and families overcome the same challenges I had to deal with, largely on my own. We’re truly here to help as much as we possible can and understand the difficulties you are facing.

Please reach out and hopefully we can provide some clarity about the thousands of questions that are going through your head about today, tomorrow, and the rest of your child’s life.
